Today the reigning ABB FIA Formula E champions, DS TECHEETAH, are delighted to announce a new partnership agreement with Rakuten Viber. This expansive partnership sees Rakuten Viber become the team’s Official Communications Partner, which will be brought to life in part through the launch of the DS TECHEETAH Viber Community.
With the DS TECHEETAH Viber Community, we aim to provide new levels of direct engagement between our fans, partners, and the entire Formula E ecosystem. Launching it ahead of our return to racing in Berlin, community members will gain exclusive access to the inner workings of the team.
In addition to this new platform for direct team engagement, the DS TECHEETAH Community will allow our partner network to engage directly with community members, with competitions, member only offers, technology previews and more. The community gained over 17,000 members in its first 24hrs and has since gained over 62,000 members during the soft launch ahead of the announcement today.
With more than one billion users globally, Rakuten Viber represents one of the largest social messaging platforms. Through our new partnership DS TECHEETAH will bring the world of Formula E directly to this user network via the launch of a unique sticker pack alongside team updates featuring within the Viber Explore pages.
The launch of the DS TECHEETAH – Rakuten Viber partnership represents only the first step in a broader relationship. More details will follow in the near future.
